Jaeden and Catherine Johnson are the founding and lead pastors of Freedom Church in Brenham, Texas. Together, they share a heart to build a life-giving, Bible-centered church where people can encounter Jesus, find freedom, experience authentic community, and be equipped to live fully in the Kingdom of God.

Jaeden grew up as the son of a pastor and church planter, giving him a front-row seat to local church ministry from an early age. Throughout his ministry journey, he has served as a youth pastor, worship pastor, and executive pastor, as well as led multiple mission trips. He holds a degree in Agricultural Leadership and Development from Texas A&M University. His background in ministry, leadership, and cattle ranching has shaped his passion for developing people, building healthy teams, and raising up leaders who use their gifts to advance the Kingdom of God.

Catherine has spent the last seven years serving in church ministry and has a deep passion for helping people feel known, valued, and connected. She holds a bachelor's degree in Allied Health from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. Her experience in ministry, leadership, and counseling has shaped her heart for creating healthy culture, caring for people, and helping others experience the healing and freedom found in Jesus.

Together, Jaeden and Catherine believe the local church should be a place where the lost meet Jesus, the wounded find healing, and the hungry are challenged to go deeper in their faith. Their desire is to build a church that reaches beyond Sunday—developing disciples, strengthening families, raising up leaders, and making a lasting impact in Brenham and beyond.

At the heart of everything they do is the mission of Freedom Church:

To Glorify Jesus & Set Captives Free.
